Charlene is presently a free lance writer for Shore Home & Garden magazine, where she authors varied topics concerning gardening, decorating and interviews of people of interest. She is also a product reviewer for the health and beauty section of What's Up! magazine. Additionally, she is an expert reviewer for the DelMarVa Foundation, a peer reviewer for Northern Speech Services, and she does field testing for Harcourt Publishing and AGS Publishing. Charlene comes from a background as a Speech Language Pathologist and Adjunct Professor, where she provided therapy in hospitals and long term care facilities in several states. Before that, she was a teacher of the speech and hearing handicapped at the Cleary School for the Deaf in Nesconset, NY.

Charlene received her Master of Arts Degree in Speech Language Pathology from Long Island University and her Bachelor Degree in Speech & Drama and English from Eastern Kentucky University.
